We had a record night with 45 players and a big crowd in to enjoy the evening on the 1st with Papa George fronting. We did the best we could to get all the players on but a few may have missed out due to the sheer number of players that turned up. Apologies to any musicians that didn't get to play, please let us know next time and we'll make sure you get a slot.
As some of you may know, The Cardinal Wolsey is under new management, Kevin and Mandy, who are very pro-music and keen to see live music continue to thrive there. They are making a range of positive changes there which can only be good news for all of us.

TJ is a highly respected singer-guitarist that effortlessly mixes
blues, soul, funk, rock and more into his own unique sound. TJ works in a number of great bands
including Sam Kelly's Station House, Bold As Love - a top Hendix
tribute band and his original band, Miscarriage Of Justice.
Mon 15th September - Alix Live
The real deal. Having played with James Brown and Funkadelic as well as
being one of the best Hendrix acts around, Alix is a true class act.
His skilfull blending of funk, blues, classic rock and soul is a rare treat.

Sat 6th Sep - The Jam-Pact rhythm section with Danny Lee - The Percy Lambert, Weybridge
Mark and Tony from Jam-Pact with Danny and his great guitarist Nelson
knocking out a great mix of classic rock and pop tunes. Those already
familiar with Jam-Pact from the jam session will know that this will
be a great night of music!
Sun 7th Sep - Alix Live - Yates, Aldershot
See above in jam notes. Alix will be accompanied by one of his great rhythm
sections, there's never a dull moment with Alix and the great chemistry
he has with the musicians he works with.
Sat 13th Sep - The Beatniks - The Percy Lambert, Weybridge
As the name suggests, The Beatniks play primarily hits from the Sixties, with an authentic sixties sound.
Sun 14th Sep - Shock Contender - Yates, Aldershot
Young but experienced band Shock Contender who were national battle-of-the-bands
finalists will entertain you with a good mix
of popular and funky songs. Look out for Lee's "light-up"
bass guitar!
